A Week Well Spent

What a wonderful week spent at the beautiful Coeur d’Alene resort.  The 2009 Intermountain GIS Users’ Conference – Layers of Success, Interconnecting Ideas, was just that, a success.  The many layers of opportunity, from the workshops and presentations, to the raffle, were well attended.  The table topics, GIS Jeopardy, and the exhibitors’ social helped people to connect and share ideas, plus have a little fun in the midst of learning tips, techniques, and how other complete the tasks their office is charged with.

We want to thank the committee for a job well done.  The work was easy with many hands helping.  So many good things have been said about the quality of the conference.  The most important compliment we heard was, “the presentations and workshops gave me tool that I can use in my everyday job.”  It was our hope that this conference would be more than just a meeting or break fro the office, but a chance to develop skills, collaborations and partnerships.  That each attendee would take home something that would last for years to come.

Thank you to Pat McGaughey for keeping us on our toes and providing inspiration and being a great host for GIS Jeopardy, which was above and beyond the call of duty.

Thank you for attending if you did and if you didn’t, you really missed a good time.  For those that attended, plan on being part of the process next time.   Planning will start soon for the 2011 conference in Pocatello.

To Your Success,

Bill and Laurie
2009 Co-Conference Chairs

Conference Compliment: “Registration was easy and the conference was well organized.” Unknown
