SUNDAY MARCH 24TH

WHAT:     NETWORKING SOCIAL

WHERE:   CHARACTERS SPORTS BAR, RED LION HOTEL

WHEN:     6:00 – 8:30 PM

DESCRIPTION:

All are welcome! This night is dedicated to helping initiate networking for students, young professionals and veteran GIS'ers. Meet new faces, connect with people and continue to cultivate these relationships throughout the rest of your conference week. Some appetizers and a limited amount of beer will be provided to help grease the wheels of social engagement.

 

MONDAY MARCH 25TH

WHAT:     BREWERY POKER CRAWL

WHERE:   BEGINNING AT CAPITOL PARK

WHEN:    5:30  - 8:30 PM

DESCRIPTION:

Bring your walking shoes and poker faces, because this team-based networking event involves leisurely strolls in-between some of Boise’s most popular brew pubs! Walking a few blocks at most, you will find yourself reading hints and solving puzzles that take you to a destination where you will receive your next poker card. Don’t forget to order yourself some eats along the way to nourish and fuel your puzzle-solving engines. When arriving at the final destination, you will compare poker hands with other teams for the grand prize – may the best hand win!

*Options on getting to Capitol Park include Walking or Shuttle Buses set to leave directly at 5:05 and 5:20 PM from the Red Lion.

 

TUESDAY MARCH 26TH

WHAT:     EXHIBITOR SOCIAL

WHERE:   VENDOR HALL (COTTONWOOD)

WHEN:     5:00 – 7:30 PM

DESCRIPTION:

Enjoy a buffet reception while you meet some of the people who make events like this possible! Engage with vendors to find out the new and innovative products being offered. The buffet will consist of meatballs, crab stuffed mushrooms, chicken wings, vegetable spring rolls, pot-stickers, fresh vegetables, flatbread, spinach dip, cheese, crackers, deviled eggs, fresh fruit and yogurt with water, tea or juice. Adult libations will be available at a cash bar for purchase. 

 

WEDNESDAY MARCH 27TH

WHAT:     OPENING KEYNOTE & BUFFET BREAKFAST

WHERE:   BALLROOM

WHEN:    9:00 – 11:00 AM

DESCRIPTION: We are thrilled to announce local Rhonda Conger for our opening keynote address! Learn and be inspired by her knowledge, energy and wisdom while you enjoy the Downtowner Breakfast Buffet. Breakfast includes fresh assorted chilled fruit juices, a seasonal fruit and berry display, country fresh scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, breakfast sausage, roasted breakfast potatoes, assorted breakfast pastries, muffins, breads and butter/jams. Also includes water, coffee and an assortment of tea.


WHAT:     HOT MAPPING PIZZA PARTY – SPONSORED BY ESRI

DESCRIPTION: Please join us in our effort to give back to those in need through this Humanitarian Open Street Mapping Event! We will be choosing a current local or global cause for attendees to volunteer their services to while offering music, pizza, beer or wine with water and assorted soda also available. There will also be a spectacular RAFFLE! Some items included in the raffle will be a one-year URISA International Membership, ESRI Student Desktop licenses, Geospatial Training Service (GTS) books and a GTS Annual training license worth $599! A very special thanks to all of those who contributed items for this year’s raffle.


THURSDAY MARCH 28TH

WHAT:     AWARDS BANQUET LUNCHEON

WHEN:    12:00 – 1:30 PM

WHERE:   BANQUET HALL

DESCRIPTION:

This luncheon is dedicated to honoring those that have served the GIS community in incredible ways over the years, including an announcement of the esteemed Excellence in GIS award. Those winning poster competitions will also be recognized. The buffet options include Caesar salad with roasted garlic dressing, antipasto platter of olives, roasted peppers, artichoke hearts and marinated mushrooms, pasta vegetable salad with balsamic dressing, penne pasta with Italian sausage and spicy sauce, baked cheese ravioli with fresh spinach and garlic cream alfredo sauce, rosemary chicken breast, mushroom and sweet onion risotto, grilled Italian squash, roasted peppers and eggplant, pesto cheese garlic bread, tiramisu with espresso cream with water, coffee, tea and soda available.
